Over the weekend, we made the trip up to the outskirts of Portland with our daughter Emmie to visit the Helvetia Lavender Festival at the Helvetia Lavender Farm. Not only was it a beautiful day with beautiful views, but the smell of lavender was rich in the air. There were also tasty treats, all kinds of things made with lavender, plus a demo on how lavender oil is distilled.
