Baby Goat Hugging Time!

So, if you’ve been having a tough go lately and could really use a hug, how about elevating your day by hugging a baby goat?!? That’s what one local farm is inviting everyone to do–and it’s free! Just stop by the Kiddley Divey Farm on Jay Street in Eugene. They’re usually open from 9:00am to 7:00pm.

And as for WHY they want goat snugglers, owner Kat Musgrove says socialization is a crucial step in their development and domestication and that the interaction is almost guaranteed to help them live a longer, happier, healthier life than goats that’re afraid of people. The goat snuggling is open to all ages, and there isn’t a limit on how many times you can visit.

And if you’re wondering about the future of the baby goats you’d be chillin’ with, Kat says she raises them until they’re about three months old, then donates them to 4H participants or people who have enough space to keep grown goats.

We went for some snuggles yesterday with our daughter Emmie and had a great time!
