What a great day to get outside & enjoy all of the fun at Greenhill Humane Society’s Bark in the Park fundraiser. The weather cooperated, the runners/walkers were ready to go & there were many tails a waggin’. The best part is that there was a lot of money raised–over $90,000–to help support all of the services that Greenhill Humane Society provides to so many animals every year. Here are a few photos from the event. And you can still make a donation on their Bark in the Park page on their website.
It is so important to us to support Breast Cancer Awareness with our morning show. I lost my mother to breast cancer and Chadd’s mom, Lois, is a breast cancer and colon cancer survivor. And, we have had countless listeners and friends of the show through the years that have battled breast cancer, lost their fight or lost a loved one to this terrible disease.
So every year in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we help raise awareness and money to support our community to help fight for women and men facing this horrible disease. For 16 years, we hosted the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Tampa Bay, then we hosted the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure in St. Petersburg. Upon moving to Metro Detroit, we connected with the American Cancer Society and hosted the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Oakland County. It is so heartwarming to be able to spend time with the brave women and men battling breast cancer and their families who support them.
As a part of the Hungry Howie’s “Love, Hope & Pizza” program, we appeared on CW44’s Bayside program! We talked about what drives us to help raise awareness, where our passion comes from, and what our mission is during the month of October and throughout the year!
Hey friends, it is with great disappointment that we tell you that our radio station in Detroit has changed format, so our show has not been renewed. We’re not sure what’s next, but one thing that is for sure is that YOU are the bright spot lighting our way whenever we are in dark times. There are so many people suffering right now due to so many different things, we would ask that you think of them and send positive energy and prayers to them—or if it is within your means to help, please reach out to www.ToysForTots.org or to www.FeedingAmerica.org .
In the meantime, you can contact us through the email contact on this page or connect with us on social media. We’re on Facebook & Instagram @ChaddAndKristiRadio and on Twitter @ChaddAndKristi .
Thank you for always supporting the both of us and for your kindness. You have made our job worthwhile and we love you! Wishing you & your loved ones a safe & Happy Thanksgiving! ~Chadd & Kristi
